Pitch 1: Find a super fun looking chimney and grovel up for about 60 feet.  Once at the top, of the chimney, climb through a boulder choke.  (The FA went up and left but other variations may work.)  At the top of the boulders, grab the dirt tufas and tread veeeeerrrrrrrry lightly up and over to the anchors.

Pitch 2:  Traverse right of the anchors to access the saddle of the tower.  Beware of the jugs that you pull on to straddle the saddle.  Once standing on the saddle, clip 3 bolts to anchors.  Tap or stand on the top (ha ha) and rap back to pitch 1 anchors.

The Gorilla

Pitch one:

5.5

Start on the left side of the ramp and climb through easy and fun terrain. Get on the big ledge and then build an anchor at the end of the ledge. Lots of options for an anchor (we used 1 of each 2.5", 3" and 4" cam)

Pitch two:

5.9+

Leave the anchor and continue walking to the right. Join a good crack and pull up to another ledge (the bottom of the gorilla head). Then find the wide crack with a good 2"-2.5" crack in the back. Pull over this crux section and climb up and right to a bolted anchor.

Summit Pitch:

Climb left from the anchor and find a few good cam placements and pull over to the summit. Down climb off the summit and back to the anchor to rappel.

Some of the best exposure and one of the taller towers in the surrounding area. Awesome climbing up through good aid placements and some free climbing will take you to the shoulder of the tower where you will find a 2 bolt anchor at the top of pitch one. After this anchor you again pull a few free moves to continue through some more aiding past 2 bolts and then you wrap around to your  right(So you are above where you started climbing the tower) and you'll find a 3 bolt anchor at the top of pitch 2. This anchor serves as the rappel anchor and the anchor to belay for the last couple of moves to get to the summit. Climb past one bolt and one tack to get on top. There is no anchor on top due to the very poor rock. Take turns with your partner getting on top and then climb back down and rappel from there. Awesome rappel!
