Climb straight up the small face with the loose, triangle-shaped flake. It is in your best interests to not pull on the flake. As advertised, the FA was done with two dynos, but it would not be hard to do this statically.

Start on the big, detached rock and swing across the main overhang area.  Exit as with

Nothin' But Faith in Nothin'

.  So contrived someone would probably have to show you the moves, but it is kinda fun.

Climb straight up the deepest part of the main overhang. All the holds on the start are facing the wrong way. Pinch left, jump up, and grab the downward-facing flake. Undercling and finish on football pinches. A sit start of this problem would be harder and probably has not been done.

Between the

Left Eliminates

and

Barefoot and Blindfolded

are some easy liebacks and face climbing.  Great for speed laps.

Go straight up from the big, detached rock. The FA was B&B and done naked.

Start on the

Elephant's Ear

, and finish up to the right into the tree.

Climb West to East keeping lower on the face. The crux is going downward to the Elephant's Ear. Continue on arms to the East end. Going East to West is harder and may never have been done.

This is probably the best problem at Fireblack. Start just 2 feet left of the

Elephant's Ear

. Sidepull right and painfully crimp left under the small roof.  Get right foot smears on nothing and your left takes a little edge. Move up right to a large pinch, and gun for the big jug in the crack. Finish up the crack, avoiding a loose flake jammed in the crack. A SDS would be very difficult.

EDIT.

The painful crimp left flake has disappeared making this problem harder.

One of the best features at Fireblack, the Elephants Ear is my favorite warm up.  If you are tall enough, just reach up and grab the top of the Ear & pull.  Those of us more elevationally challenged must work our way up the sides of the Ear and move the feet up.  Finish left of the tree on a crimp and a hidden scoop.  SDS adds a couple of moves but no difficulty.

This problem opened up when the big, dead branch broke off of the juniper bush at the top of Fireblack.  Use the seams just to the right of the Elephant's Ear and go straight up.

Climb straight up the groove on the far left of the boulder. Eliminate holds to make it more interesting and contrived.

This is on the far right side. Lichen and trees make this hand jam/mantel interesting. Tracy approved the name. Really.
