Orachasim climbs the ridge line of the lower tower just 20 ish feet east of the main Greevers tower. It's loose so dont expect to the feel the warm an fuzzies. The route gets is name by the gap you step over about 5 bolts up.

Minion Mtn.

Minion Mtn was named because it's yellow and small like minions.    3 routes  All top roped by the same anchor.    Easy approach, and fun for the family.    Area is good for experienced climbers to take beginning climbers and for rappelling activities for youth groups as well.    There is a bolt in the alcove on the hike to top to create a safety tether to the anchors.   This area is a new area and due to the nature of the rock (choss) you will encounter loose and hollow sounding rock.  It is recommended to wear a helmet and use good judgement.

Route is accessed from the north side of Greevers' Needle. Climb easy 5th class for 30' traversing west. Head back east up a 3rd class ramp up to the shelf on the north side of the Needle. Climb obvious crack to a chimney that accesses the summit.

I rated it with a bomb so let that be known. This route is so choosy that it will never clean up. I mean never!    Facing east step off the little block and over part of the runnel. Head right passing a bolt and continue right  on easiest terrain. You will want a bolt but the rock is too poor to hold one. Facing north follow the path of least resistance past two more bolts and on to the summit. You will notice how chossy the rock is from the start. It does not improve. There are chains and multiple bolts. They are for the tyrolean traverse between the two towers. That is a must do!

Hope you can get on that route. It's a gem!   Starts at lorazepams first bolt and traverses right past a bolt then up 9 bolts. Follows the right side of the arête. There is a crack at the top it protect runout. Yellow or green alien can be used.    The beginning seems over bolted. But a bolt was added to protect the traverse and make it pg 13 instead of R. The original plan was to start at the choss overhang. But after cleaning off tons of rock to no end an alternate plan as implemented.

5 bolts    Found on the Northwest corner of the Needle, righty Tighty is is the direct start to Lefty Loosey starts right of the GC bloc.    Follow the 3 bolts up the face to ledge and then head up 2 more bolts to the summit. This route has a great view to the west with lots air!

The route starts in a little alcove that is about 5.6. Once you reach the third bolt, on the south face it becomes easier. There is a 15-foot walk over to the last climb to the anchors. 

Get on your tippy toes and clip a bolt to prevent a tumble off the ledge in case you blow the starting sequence. Trend up and left through pockets and edges towards the arete, then take 'er to the top!

Easy gulley that's pretty runout with few gear options, we managed to place 4 pieces. The rock is surprisingly good quality but with no real crack or seam, placing pro makes it challenging. It's possible to veer right for an easier exit about 3/4th of the way up or go directly up the gulley with the possibility of placing another piece but a few harder moves before getting there (5.8). Should you choose the direct up version, you've got about 20ft on the .3 which may only slow you down....you'll be fine.

Left to right traverse on pretty solid rock, mostly large pockets and jugs. Fantastic sunset views. Traverse also goes right to left. See how many back and forth laps you can do and post a comment if you can get more than 3.Left to right: sit down start on the left corner. Traverse right on large pockets, great jugs, and the occasional very good sloper. The route ends at the right corner when you step your right foot on a 2-4 inch ledge without risking a fall out of the cave. 

The south facing wall with the split face on Greevers' is done! LORAZEPAM starts at the left side of the little cave on less than vertical ground. The first bolt also dubs as an anchor to drop into the shoot to the east and is easily reached before you start climbing as you are 15' off the main ledge. Most bolts are painted reddish brown. Tread lightly! Test everything before you commit to it. It was a super fun route to put up with surprisingly little cleaning need IMHO. You may disagree;) ***After being told it was too scary by a really good friend  and competent climber, I decided to double the bolts. No gear needed and no more PG-13. New name seems obligatory in that is not a nightmare to climb. I'm thinking AKA Comfortably Numb;)***

This route is the most striking line up the needle.    It will be one of many photo ops.    Lots of pockets, good exposure, and a great summit with beautiful views.    (Be cautious of the block at the top of the arête. Although it's a very tempting crack.  A bolt was placed on the face right of it, and not to use the crack on the left to pro.    Climb face and use crack for left hand side pull.)   (First ascent was rope soloed. No consensus was taken for the rating. Any input for a consensus will be considered) 

  (This is a new area with few ascents so beware of some loose rock) WEAR A HELMET!

This route heads up through right leaning high angle choss and ends with a short low angle walk left to the rap anchors above. The route is a great C0 aid practice line. 

  I am not sure if the route has gone free. If anyone knows, let me know and I will update the route description.

3 5.7ish bolts to the crux, easy scramble to the top after a quick bolder problem. Fun route, though there are some loosish holds.  

Follow the bolts up the face right of GC, the obvious crack that splits the whole bloc. Then head up the shoulder and on to the summit. This route has a great view to the west with lots air!

Climbs the northface just left of the crack

Greevers' Needle was first shown to me by Chris Greevers, thus the AKA. It's real name is Coyote Rock. It's a really cool looking spire that looks like a howling coyote with an even cooler and very accessible 5.4 crack summit! It's at max 12' x 12' and it's approximately 110 feet tall. It's Located just 5 minutes north of Idaho Rd. Though most of the routes are completely bolted it helps to climb here with a trad mentality. Helmets are highly recommended. Recently we have been noticed climbing out here by the residents that live in this area. They have expressed concern about our impact. This includes the parking area. ONLY PARK ALONG EAST SIDE OF IDAHO!

 So please read on how you can help keep this area open:

 Climbing, once an obscure activity with few participants, has become a mainstream form of outdoor recreation. And our impact on the environment and others around us is under increasing scrutiny. As climbers, we must show a healthy respect for the places and policies where we climb. This mindset helps assure continued climbing access by showing landowners and managers that we take care of the places where we play.

 Slip into stealth mode and follow these easy guidelines to help protect climbing access every time youre at the crag 

 Stay on established trails  Even if the trail is not the most direct line to the base of a route or boulder, avoid the temptation to blaze your own path. Hiking off trail promotes erosion and destroys vegetation.

 Keep a low profile  We know that route youre working requires a lot of moxie, but yelling, swearing, screaming beta at your partner, and even playing music at the crag can seriously disrupt those around you, including the landowner.

 Camoflage all anchors.

 Clean up excess chalk  Chalk is a necessary part of climbing, but it also creates visual evidence of climber impact. Clean up spills and brush off tick marks after each session.

 Respect closures  Respecting the wildlife (e.g., nesting birds) and cultural resource (e.g., petroglyphs) closures will help ensure that they dont turn into unreasonable closures. Visitstatus.accessfund.org for an updated list of closures and restrictions across the country.

 Keep tabs on your dog  Dogs at the crag can have a serious impact on climbing access due to their ability to disturb the peace of those around them, including that of the landowner. Consider leaving Fido at home. If you must bring your dog to the crag, keep it with you at all times, control its barking, and clean up after it.

 Pack it out  Dont trash the crag. Carry an extra plastic bag and pack out your own trash (yes, even climbing tape counts). Human waste counts toodo your business away from cliffs, boulders, trails, and water sources and pack it out.

 Pad and tread lightly  We know youre focused on sending that sweet boulder problem, but remember to think about the life on the ground around you. Avoid trampling or throwing crash pads on vegetation.

 Educate others KINDLY  If you see someone hiking off trail, blaring music, or throwing trash on the ground, kindly let them know that their actions could threaten access for everyone. In many cases people simply dont recognize that their actions might negatively impact the environment or access to the area.
